PlaXhunter™ Assignment Management & Plagiarism Detection System Tour

PlaXhunter is an Assignment Management and Plagiarism Detection system specifically developed to cater to the needs of schools and universities. The application provides educators (e.g. professors/instructors/teachers) the ability to create, track and manage student essay-writing assignments. In addition, the system also automatically checks any submitted document against all other documents already available in the university database, as well as tens of billions of documents (indexed from the general internet) to detect and reveal potentially plagiarized text. In order for this process to work seamlessly educators are required to complete a few basic actions, including:

  • Creating classes in PlaXhunter
  • Creating assignments for classes PlaXhunter
  • Adding/Enrolling students to classes PlaXhunter
The presentation layer or user experience PlaXhunter provides to educators is slightly different from the students' user experience. Students are required to conduct only one basic action after they gain access to the application. That is: to upload or submit assignments, once they have finalized them. We have made every effort to keep PlaXhunter simple, user friendly and intuitive. However, a short tour of the main features of the application is necessary to provide the novice user a head start.
